Run a poll in the Twitch chat
The chat Poll module reads the messages of your public chat, with no account and no permission. Every message that contains only a number counts as a vote, and the bars rise live on screen.
- 01
Open the Modules page
Go to the chat Poll block and enter your Twitch channel name.
- 02
Write the question and the answers
At least two answers, five at most. Keep them short: a word or two reads better on screen.
- 03
Choose the duration
Thirty seconds is enough for an active chat. At zero, the vote never stops and the winner is not announced. Check the result in the preview, which uses fake votes labeled Simulation.
- 04
Add a browser source
Copy the address, add it in OBS or Streamlabs, width 760, height 560, and put it in a scene you show when you ask the question.
- 05
Announce the vote to your chat
Say the question and ask people to type 1, 2, 3 in the chat. The vote starts when the source appears, a username votes once and their last vote replaces the previous one.
- 06
Start another poll
Edit the address with the new question, or refresh the source in OBS to start again from zero.
